Often referred to as “Central” heating, forced air heating is the most common type of heating used in California homes. In forced air heating, a furnace or fan-coil draws air in from your living space, heats the air, then a fan distributes the heated air throughout your home through a network of ducts located in your attic or under-floor crawl space.

Fan-coils used in forced air heating, are viable alternatives to the “gas fired” furnaces that have dominated the industry for years. Fan-coils heat the air using either hot water coils or “heat pumps” and offer added flexibility in integrating alternative energy sources such as into your forced air heating solution.
